Summer is in full swing in Ottawa. I’ve spent quite a few hours on our porches soaking up the sun and warmth but have also been busy in the studio. It has been a very busy year so far as many customers have turned to sewing projects to help pass the time during Covid restrictions. It has been wonderful seeing the finished projects rolling in and the satisfaction from customers as they finally have their project completed.
I’m happy to say that earlier this week I unpinned the last quilt for Project Undercover from the machine. All bindings are attached, just a little handwork to sew these down on the back, add some labels and they will be ready. Thank you so much to the many people who have donated fabric, blocks, tops, whole quilts and time, to this project. Pictures of the quilts will be up on the website in late September. Project Undercover quilts are going to Matthew House Ottawa for every bed.
Now that stores are open again, I am back at the Country Quilter in Richmond (3444 McBean Street) from 10am-noon on Tuesdays for quilt consults. If this doesn’t fit your schedule you can call me at 613-322-8885 to arrange another time during the stores open hours or else arrange a drop off at my home.
As always if you have any questions I’m just a phone call or email away.
Enjoy your Summer! Sarah Jane.
